Important Additional Info We have an AI Companion that is trained on our content and the students can ask any questions from it AAH vs NCCT: 1. Certification Timeline AAH: Students can take the exam immediately after training and start applying for jobs right away. NCCT: Students must complete and document externship hours first, which delays certification. 2. Clinical Requirements AAH: No clinical-hour requirement. Students can gain hands-on experience after certification, at their own pace. NCCT: Requires documented clinical experience, case logs, and hospital approvals before even being allowed to test. 3. Flexibility for Students AAH: Ideal for students in states where externship sites are limited or competitive. Offers the most accessible and achievable pathway. NCCT: Students depend on hospital availability, scheduling, and documentation — creating delays and barriers. 4. Employer Support & Recognition AAH: Provides direct support to students by meeting with hospitals, sharing exam blueprints, DOE endorsements, and helping secure credential approval. NCCT: Does not engage with employers; recognition depends entirely on hospital familiarity. 5. National Recognition Strength AAH: Recognised by the U.S. Department of Labor/Workforce and multiple State Departments of Education (Arkansas, Oklahoma, Washington D.C.). AAH-certified techs already work in major systems like UPMC, Atrium, Mercy, Trinity Health, and more. NCCT: Recognised, but the mandatory clinical requirement limits student progress and delays job entry.
